Purpose built facility for Sky Movies containing 21 individual buildings including Sound Stages, Production Support Buildings, Offices, Production Buildings and Car Park. Work included GSS and Fire Rated
Systems with a mixture of high level works over 17m and low level office fit out works.

127 Kensington High Street
Client – GBE
Shell and Core and Fitout works to new build office building located
adjacent to Kensington High Street Station. Work involved GSS, Fire Rated, Underfloor ductwork and exposed double skin circular fan coil unit secondary.

The Standard Hotel Client – M J Lonsdale
Conversion of Camden Council Town Hall into a 5 star boutique hotel with additional restaurant and roof penthouses. Work included all guest rooms, back of house, and public area GSS and fire-rated ductwork.

Client – Designer Group
Shell and Core Works to an 18-Storey office building located in Aldgate. Works included 2 Basement Levels of plant room and landlords services including fire ratedductwork to EN1366, 18 floors of risers with branches to floors and a double height roof plant area.

Whitechapel Crossrail Station
Client – BBMV
Construction of Whitechapel station started in April 2010. The station is an important interchange for both the Hammersmith & City, District lines, and London Overground. Construction has been carried out in a restricted site whilst the existing stations remain operational. RDS provided GSS & Fire Rated Ductwork to BS476 Part 24,
Insulation and AC to the project.

Broadmoor Hospital Client – Kier Group
This is the biggest redevelopment in the high secure mental health care
to date. The project comprised three new ward buildings, one new
entrance/security building, one new administration/services building
within the new site, and the extension and refurbishment of the paddock building within the existing hospital. RDS provided GSS, Fire Rated, and Polypropylene ductwork to this challenging project.

Kings Cross S2
Client – Shepherd Engineering
Shell and core services on Argent’s 12-floor office buildings for Google.
The RDS contract included the installation of ductwork within the
modular riser sections off-site in York, basement and ground floor
landlord services, and a two-story roof plant area. Installation of Fire
Rated Ductwork was undertaken by Fire Protection working closely
with RDS.

The Turnmills Farringdon
Client – Balfour Beatty
RDS was contracted to supply and install both GSS and Fire Rated
ductwork for this 6-floor office building, including the basement
plant rooms and retail areas. The fire-rated ductwork was the
Flamebar Fire Protection system with the ductwork supplied by Fire
Protection under contract to RDS with the installation carried out by
RDS operatives.

Royal College of Surgeons
RDS continues with their long-established relationship with Wates by supplying and installing both GSS and EN1366 fire-rated on this complicated new build/part existing building in Holborn. Initially contracted to carry out the GSS ductwork RDS have negotiated the Fire Rated ductwork and insulation element on the project utilizing our
Thorduct product.

Aldgate Tower
Client – Mercury Engineering
RDS supplied and installed both GSS and Fire Rated ductwork for a prestigious office building in Aldgate. The ductwork and associated
equipment including FCUs’s were installed off-site in prefab modules
and installed in the majority of the office floors on the fast-track project.

Kings Cross S1
Client – Briggs and Forrester
After the successful completion of S2, RDS was appointed to carry
out the shell and core services on 12 floor office building for Nike /
Sony. RDS provided shell and core services, basement and ground
floor landlord services, a two-story roof plant area, and a full fit-out to 4 office floors. Installation of Fire Rated Ductwork was undertaken by Fire Protection working closely with RDS.

Client – Conditioned Env
Fast track 10-week office fit out in Birmingham of an existing building
for WeWork. Exposed ductwork and fan coil unit system over 6 floors complete with new risers and roof plant.

The Northern Line Extension
Client – Ferrovial Laing
O’Rourke
RDS has been contracted to provide Fire Rated and Galvanised
ductwork to Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms Stations and
for two new tunnel portals to service the £1.2 billion extension to the Northern Line. The contract also includes the provision of all insulation to the ductwork systems.

Olympic Stadium
Transformation
Client – Imtech
As part of the legacy agreement from the 2012 London Olympics
West Ham took over the long-term tenancy for the former showpiece
Olympic Stadium. The fast track project completed in 20 weeks added additional hospitality areas, upgrades to the concourse, and changing room areas producing a world-class sports arena.

Royal London Hospital – Covid
19 Wards
Client – Wates / SES
RDS had the please of recently being involved in the fast-track completion of a 170-bed unit at the RLH to treat COVID-19 Patients
The project was completed within 5 weeks of receiving the first
drawings. 10,000 man hours were expended working 24 hours per
day 7 days per week during April 2020.
